the begining is too wierd.....


basically there was a real problem with how the script was written in the begining of the series

the reason i'm saying this is because usually when a show start it takes some time to establish characters,plot, everything.

the problem with the pilot is that its like we start in the middle of the story and its overwhelming.

i only figured out what was happening after i started reading about the real ceaser, the war at gaul etlc....

if someone who is not familar with the roman empire will start watching it he will be lost quickly.

Nope, it doesn't take much to take in the story, but I would hope it would interest viewers enough to look things up.

I didn't know a thing about ancient Rome but this show inspired me to get a hold of a Teaching company lectures and also to read Colleen Mccoullough Masters of Rome novels. Really interesting stuff.
