What Has This Film Done To It's Actors?

I can't believe it. There are some really good actors in this film, and some who aren't excellent, but are at least competent BUT they all sound terrible.

Their acting sounds and looks either hammy or wooden. What happened? They didn't just all lose their talent overnight. Is it the script, editing, sound editing, looping, direction or a combination of all of them?

I suspect the answer is yes, all or most of the above. Perhaps the bottom line is money. If everything has to be rushed and the concentration is on the gore then there is no time to do anything except turn up, spout the lines learnt the night before and move on to the next set up. It it's a terrible waste of talent.

The sound mixing/editing was very very bad in this movie, and it sounds like everything was just clean ADR and there is no real background ambient noise making the sound sound like it was in a studio.

Uwe Boll never gives a hoot about competence. That's what happened.

Can't really blame the actors/actresses for this one. I think Boll was trying to capture the stereotypical video game voice acting, for some strange reason.
