will young people like this movie?

It seems to me that this movie requires a certain experience of life to enjoy it. If you are into blockbusters it may not appeal. Are there any gen y's who have found it good ? On the ABC web site there are several very anti comments and the reviewer in the herald sun was positively luke warm.
I cant understand that.

My son is 11 and he very much enjoyed this film.

Well I have to study it at school this year for year 12, and I hate it. My school has been studying Look Both Ways at least since 2006, and absolutely no-one I know has liked it.
