Well, he's right, they ARE "hooey". I'd say they're all worse, individually, than any of those godawful Nicolas Cage National Treasure movies! I just hate those kind of treasure hunt / clues / traps movies!

I agree that they're "hooey", and this from someone who likes the books! Seriously, I think the first two books in the series are silly but fun (books 3 and 4 were awful), they're fast-paced, full of puzzles and chases through exotic locales, and ridiculous impossibilities passed off as science. Nobody's ever had quite as much fun with art history, either!

But the movies were crap. They had none of the fun and fast pace, and Hanks was totally wrong for the role of Langdon. The hero should have been an energetic man of action, and Hanks has this relaxed, avuncular air that drained a lot of the suspense out of the story.

I think The Terminal is worse honestly. The Da Vinci Code is just boring.
