Zara

I found her death very disturbing and unsettling to watch, but obviously amazing and really great that it evoked such a response.

I saw an article saying it's a really terrible decision by a film maker to have such a horrific death shot so close up to a character that didn't deserve to die in such a horrendous way.

Anyone agree / disagree with me or the article?

EDIT: article is here http://birthmoviesdeath.com/2015/06/15/the-strangely-cruel-and-unusual-death-in-jurassic-world

I am sure the raptors knew they should only kill sleazy bad guys or the public will get upset ... In such a situation anyone can die in horrible ways. Actually they overdone that scene in such a way that I laughed when I saw it.

"Relics of ancient times. Lonely cenotaphs. Standing along that melancholy tideland."

I was just annoyed that kids didn't tell Claire that Zara had been killed. There was no sort of closure to it. Considering how brutal the death was I expecting someone to acknowledge that that she got killed.

She's the type of character I reckon that will feature heavily in the deleted scenes/extended cut to be honest. That might give some closure.

Absolutely agree. Exactly, the kids and Claire, if it is not because of them, she should have been in the office maybe talking to Verizon's investors.

The version I watched must have been edited to have a shorter death. I wasn't even "certain" she was dead.

What country are you in? In the US she definitely gets it. After going in the water a pterodactyl pulls her out and as it is going up the mesosaurus gets them both.

it's like a james bond villain finally succeeded

A thread with a title like this brings in many users.

"Oh, I'm not gonna kill ya. I'm just gonna hurt ya, really, really, bad."

reply

That's the least of this movie's problems. The main problem is I did not care about any of these people much. Everything was so cliche and artificial.

Here here!!!

I didn't think anything of it till I started reading threads on here, it's not like you really see much other than her being thrown about alot then the Mosasaur swallows her.

Speaking of which, how did she die? She was swallowed, not chewed. Probably drowned.

She was a terrible babysitter. I predicted she would be dino food from the beginning. I her death didn't phase me.

She was a terrible babysitter.

She was forced to watch them by the neglecting aunt, after their mom sent them to such aunt while mom knows how neglectful she is, and the kids ditched her. All these people deserved death before Zara

Her death was one of the few things I liked in this movie.I have absolutely no problem with the way they decided to kill her character.
