a show about whoredom

I never watched it, but others I knew had it on in the background. from what I heard it was just sex jokes after sex jokes. in my view it signified the end to the tv era I knew.

and I was a fan of threes company, Jack was shown with women but it was the women being aggressive and Jack fighting them off. made for a better lesson for a child (which I was )

but this show really influenced ppl to just be nothing but a monger.

his diagnoses if proven true in that today's show interview was to be expected. sorry Charlie I loved you in platoon and money talks but not so much on the lust for women trophies

And a post about Boredom. Educate yourself some on HIV. It's not the death sentence it was back in the 80s. There was more to the show than just sex anyway.

This show has a wide variety of types of jokes about a wide variety of topics. Some are subtle and brilliant, others are more crass and cringy. There are tropes, clichés, things that Seinfeld did better, and so on.

However, the early seasons tell so much truth about women, men and relationships, it's almost PUA 101 - no doubt because of Charlie's vast experience with women.

Of course there are 'sex' jokes, the core point of the humor is the situation, where a horny, high-status playboy that lives an 'easy life' is contrasted with a neurotic, selfish simp that couldn't get a woman off if women had off-buttons.

However, what 'comedy show', especially these days, doesn't? Seinfeld has sex jokes, so what. It was still a hilarious show.

This show has sex jokes, but it also has a plethora of other jokes and has had me laughing out loud more times than I can remember. Not every joke is fun, not every joke lands, there is the usual misandry and the unrealistic 'virtue signaling' crap, like that episode where a woman 'converts to a man' (which would never work, and there's no reason to change from princess to slave even if it did work) and we're supposed to sympathize with the type of mental illness that makes some people think 'gender change' is possible without reincarnation.

In any case, it's a fun and funny show, and Charlie's performance is brilliant most of the time, I recommend ACTUALLY watching it.
