The reason many people badmouth this movie
It's either because they won't stop comparing it to the original, or just because it's the cool thing to do.
With that said, I am not of of those people.
The movie was just that...a movie. Wasn't that much difference from the first. I prefer the first one because Gene's version of Willy was way better than Johnny's. This movie was too boring and dark for me. Not to mention the subplot of Willy's daddy issues. I prefer the Slugworth's subplot better.
