The lack of survival tactics with these characters really bugged me

Seriously, a dumbass keeping his infected wife a secret and just waiting for her to deliver what will obviously be an infected baby. Unconditional love for a child my ass, what good will come out of having a zombie baby that will just end up killing you?

And to make matters worse, a stupid bitch putting her life at risk to save a damn dog that the zombies don't even care about. And then the rest of the crew trying to save her, when they should've just let her suffer her own demise for her unforgivable stupidity by worrying about an animal more than herself.

This why I hate most horror movies. Everyone is just too goddamned stupid for me to cope with.

Andre was already defiant to the thoughts of the rest of the people. He thinks he knows better. Since he didn't know what caused infection, he took what he thought were precautions to determine if his child would be normal or not. And let's be honest. He wasn't thinking straight at that point. He lost it a little.

As for Nicole, she lost her entire family. She bonded with the dog and was freaking out that she was about to lose the dog as well.

They needed to get to the gun store anyways. The decision was made to do it within a time frame that would also double as a rescue mission. They had dialogue discussing this. Did you not pay attention?

Yea it was very disappointing because he was pretty cool character in the beginning. It wasn't until he saw she was infected that he started effing up.

And she did have it real rough, but I mean, grief shouldn't cloud one's common sense. It was a damn dog, for crying out loud.

And I must've not heard that part. Thanks.

I totally get what you're saying. I know there's a reason for everything. I guess all I'm really pointing out is that selflessness in horror movies is rarely a virtue.

Grief almost always clouds common sense, even in real life. Thing that struck me though was, she came up with a better idea on the spur of the moment to get over to Andy than all the rest of them combined did in the preceding months.

Yeah, I thought that was totally silly and not remotely scary, just like the rest of this stupid movie

Don't give up the fight for truly independent cinema!

You had a great post going until the last sentence. FAIL.
