Am I the only one thinking it's a good movie???

Just saw this movie last night on tv, and I enjoyed it a lot... I think Paul Bettany is great in it... He's very very funny! I was quite disappointed with all the "I drink beers, and spend my time sleeping during the tournament" stuff, but the tennis moments looked nice to me!
The romance was nice too, even if sometimes I thought something was missing!!
But I'll buy the DVD now!!!

Does anybody here thinks it's a nice movie???

I enjoyed it myself. Though, I usually tuned out the lovey-dovey bits, but otheriwse I was laughing my arse off. I rather enjoy Paul Bettany. Then you bring in Bernard Hill and James McAvoy? Oh, I was completely entertained. I loved the Colt family. Carl was...just so odd! LOL...

I really enjoyed this, too, and I didn't expect to! I've recently rented a string of disappointing romantic comedies (Jersey Girl, 13 Going on 30), and this one broke the streak. It's not the greatest movie ever, but I thought it was quite funny and liked the interplay between Kirsten and Paul.

I liked it too. I mean, romantic comedie is not my favorite choice, but Paul Bettany does a great job. I particularlly liked his thoughts during the matches.

I really loved it too. There's just something about English movies that has such a drawing quality. I always watch this one, when it comes on TV.

you think you're invisible. but i see you.

Ohh please. This movie was supposed too be based around tennis, Paul and kirstern looked so uncoordinated, if anyone here is a decent tennis player theyll agree. There service actions suck, you couldnt get any pace from a service action like that. and too predictable as all love movies are.

Yes. You are the only one.

It's a very enjoyable movie.

I loved this movie so much. It has been so overlooked. I wish Paulw ould be in more and more films. It was so beautifully done, completely pleasing to the eye. The director as well as Paul seem to be iffy about their film, but I think it many thought it was a delight.

Wimbledon was a great movie!

Paul Bettany is always entertaining to watch, weather as a run-away priest, a naked poet, a crazy Opus Dai villian or as a (very sexy) Tennis star,

I loved the romance between them, and when he brings her fish-n-chips! (and the studio audiance goes: AWWWWWW) love-love-loved it!

I love this movie.

Nope, you're not alone...I absolutely LOVED this movie. I thought the writing was great, their chemistry was on the mark, and it was just a "feel good" kinda movie. I wasn't in the least bit disappointed.
