If Shelby never talked, they got nothing on Aileen, right?

Stupid Shelby ruined it all. The evidence the cops got at that time, was circumstantial at best, they did not have anything definitive to convict Aileen, nothing! All they had was the old couples reported a red car that happened to be the same model as one of the victim's car (the license plate was later removed by Aileen). Nothing concrete.

The bottom line is, the cop knew Aileen did it, but they did not have enough evidence to convict her. UNTIL, *beep* Shelby ratted Aileen out and set her up.

What are your thoughts?

Aileen was arrested prior to Shelby (Tyria Moore) being located and police already had evidence implicating Aileen in the murders. Fingerprints matching Aileen's were found in some of the victim's vehicles and on some of the victim's property that was hocked in pawn shops. Aileen soon confessed to the murders though said it was in self defense.

Sure, Shelby was no help to Aileen's defense but the confession(s) along with the forensic evidence was her ultimate doom.

He killed sixteen Czechoslovakians. Guy was an interior decorator.

Her name in the movie was actually 'Selby' not 'Shelby', because it always makes me think of 'sell by date.'
