I'm sorry but the ending really bothered me

It really annoyed me that Paris ran after Al at the end! Sure what he said was great and heartfelt and all before he walked out of the gym but he was still a d!ck to her. And I didn't get why she ran after him because he was the one pretending to be someone he wasn't and treating her like crap. He didn't even apolgize to her for treating her this way but yet SHE runs after him like she was the one who did something wrong. I mean sure she told about the deal but he totally deserved that!

I still pray for Lindsey Lohan.

he shouldn't have apologized. she should've apologized to him if anything.

Why? Seriously why? She was nice to him the whole time and then when the deal was over he was being a complete d!ck to her! He could have at least been nice to her or treated her as a friend since she was the one who made him popular which was what HE always wanted. She had nothing to apologize for.

it is the typical female response to discredit the man she used to be with when the woman gets screwed over or hurt. Deal with it! When a woman discredits a man, all I have to say is, Then why were you with him in the first place?" If the guy had no job or a tiny package, why were you with him??????

She ran after him because the same thing happened in the two previous versions of this story. They just followed them like they did the rest of the film

She went after Alvin because she liked him. It's a classic tale of two people who end up falling in love with each other but not at the exact same time. Alvin liked Paris but then once he became popular he drifted away from his feelings for her while her feelings for him got stronger as she got to know him throughout their time together as the pretend couple.

Sure it sucks to the people rooting for them to get together but its also essential to the story because if they hooked up too soon what is there left to do with the movie? Alvin had to go through that. He had to go through becoming the kind of jerk that those popular kids were to him so that he could finally wake up and realize that he never needed to be like them in the first place, and that he made a mistake. Which he did at the end when he made that great speech about it.

Paris went after him because she liked the real Alvin, and the real Alvin was the guy that stood up to all of those popular kids in that moment. Could the ending have been done differently? maybe, but it didn't really need a perfect ending. She had a lot to learn herself and she did when she finally dropped the loser she was with to go try to win back the one guy that she'd finally realized was exactly who she wanted. Alvin.
