Guys in LTR with transsexuals

It's extremely rare. I believe even Barry's mother said she didn't know anything about Barry's relationship with Calpernia.

I've only known of a few men in long-term relationships with transsexuals and usually these men didn't work for some reason. I often wonder if it's because they are too 'mentally ill' to hold down a job. One lived off of family inheritance who was with a trans friend of mine for five years, and another worked some of the time; a little at Goodwill, maybe WalMart too, but he seemed to largely live off of unemployment benefits.

Then the most famous, John Woljoticwiz (sp?) who robbed a bank to pay for his lovers sex-change, that was later turned into the movie 'Dog Day Afternoon.' He seemed to live mostly on welfare, even before he was diagnosed with cancer and died. He seemed incapable of holding down a job from the things I've read, but a lot could do with having a prison record. I wonder if it's because once people know they are with a transsexual they are openly harassed and mocked not to mention discriminated against, even more so than a gay man would be, so they can't keep a job. If this was the case with Mr. Goodwill he never said that. He didn't say why he had such trouble with jobs, but he did try to get disability at one point but was denied.

Very strange how all of the threats and posts moved from IMDb to here. Maybe owned by the same company.

I can't make any generalizations about that world...but OMG, this film was so sad and depressing, I will never be able to watch it again!

(I recall it being well done, however.)
