Hannibal's ponytail

what do you fine people think of Hannibal's ponytail in the beginning of the movie?

i'm kinda on the fence about it. part of kinda likes it and kinda hates it

I thought it was weird, since Hannibal is so elegant after all. A ponytail on a bald guy fits more on an old rocker who still thinks its the 70s.

I totally agree. That was out of place.

sexy...hehe

There is no one looking out for us. We are all alone. Graham Hess

I thought it looked ridiculous on him.

reply

Oh my lord, I hated it. It just looked so obnoxious and outside Hannibal's character.

Hannibal Lecter in the novels has dark slick-back hair with a widow's peak. So the idea of Hannibal having a ponytail is stupid.

Very odd. I guess maybe they felt the ponytail would convey youth, as those scenes were supposed be from 1980

I think it does because it is very brown hair in the ponytail and it also serves a second purpose of pulling the wrinkles out of his face. It would be weird to see him when it's not in a ponytail because the hair would be around chin length.

Kind of reminds me of the British and their wigs back in the day for some reason. It didnt make him look any younger than 55.
