hmm ok I dunno if this sounds weird but I'm 15 and I think Colin Firth is really hot. I just mean that I've seen a lot of you posters that are like married with children and somewhat older than I am, and I understand that YOU think he's attractive and that it's acceptable...but what about me? With such an age difference?

me my friend and my english teacher where talking about this when we watched him as mr darcy in P&P and came to the conclusion that colin firth is hot to any girl(or guy, what ever floats your boat) aged 13 and over.
shareHis appeal is wide-ranging indeed. I think it's his warmth (a version of "hot," but not merely sexual) that makes him so attractive to so many different kinds of fans. There's so much of an edge on so many characters in films these days (not to mention on real folks in real life!), and I think people are powerfully drawn to the tenderness that CF brings to many of his characters--including Henry Dashwood in this film. It's a relief from reality, and gives people something to dream of, to wish for, in their own lives. Ah, well...call me a happy/sappy romantic!
