Why GTA3 will never be as good as GTA;VC

This is just an opinion, so please don't verbally attack me :| Debates are cool, but insults against my opinion is just rude.

Okay first, Claude says absolutely nothing in this. Tommy Vercetti cussed back at whoever *beep* with him, whoever wronged him, etc. Claude would never speak, people would speak to him and he'd just stand there like this :|. It was difficult to play because there was no intensity. He seemed to just back down to the choices of others. I love Tommy Vercetti, he's my favourite video game character.

Secondly, the entire town is just so bland and boring. I find it difficult to even play it for long periods of time; unlike VC where I can play for hours on end. The atmosphere and characters in VC are just so much more fun, more life like and real.

Third, the cars are better. Haha silly reason I know, but all the cars in GTA3 are slow and boring. VC has fast bright cars that zip through the traffic.

Fourth, the pay and spray cost 1000 dollars in GTA3, while VC cost 100.

Fifth, the weapons are so much better in VC than in GTA3, simply because there is a range of them. Faster, lighter, more of them.

Don't get me wrong I LOVE GTA3! but VC is just so much better.

Claude>Tommy

Truth!

Has anyone even realized that this was made before Vice City? In Vice City Rockstar added more stuff that the previous game didn't have, and they upgraded the engine a bit as well.

Do you smell that? No? Well, get to the kitchen then!

GTA 3's the best dark entry of the series, nothing matches it. GTA 4 tried but no chance there. I think that's one part that bugs me about this one, it never gets bright and it's hard to see at points. The map's horrible to navigate and it takes a while to get to new places, it feels like a buzzkill at times. The targeting system is so primitive and can be hard to use. I did like the characters, stories, and voice overs though, that was solid. Would have liked more comedy in some of the missions but this was the first, they got better.

Vice fixed these and made it all better, which was unavoidable. I don't hate GTA 3 but matched up to the others it's bound to fail. Vice is my favorite of the old series but this is good too. SA's characters was what ruined it a little for me, but besides that it was fun.

The one thing I think GTA 3 has over every other GTA game is the humour. I swear in the first few months of playing 3 there were times when I just blocked traffic and listened to the NPCs for ages, and almost suffocating from laughing so hard. Just listening to those peds go off and talk random shyte was absolutely brilliant. The cranky old woman in particular who yells things like 'You learn to drive!' and 'I got friends wiseguy!' in her cranky old woman voice was pure gold.
Vice City was funny, but no where near as much as GTA 3. San Andreas had a few laughs here or there, and 4 wasn't funny at all.

What did you expect to be under here?

You didn't mention just how awesome the music is in VC!!! I would play it for hours when I was younger not only for the gameplay, but for the kickass music on it!!!

Honestly, both games were awesome.

GTA3 I like dark, I like rainy, that's just me maybe. I also did really enjoy the maps. GTA is fun in a whole. I will admit, I did hate how Claude never spoke, and just seemed to go with whatever someone told him. Ray Liotta is gold in vice city. I like both characters, and yea GTA3 was hilarious.

I liked Vice City though because it was a totally new scene, bikes, cars, you could ACTUALLY now do stuff with the money you earn! (Honestly, the paint and spray should have been more in GTA3, really what did you do with your money, yea you might have boughten a gun or two, once you find those hidden packages, worthless as you are loaded once you get all those.

I do think Vice City has the best star cast of the 3.

I can see why people got annoyed by working out, gaining weight etc, I think they just were trying to add SO much stuff.

Hell I even liked Vice City-Liberty City stories, really, any of the ps2 GTA you cant go wrong with.

I bought Vice City off the App Store and I love it, I love it because it's based off of Scarface and has all the 1980's isms including cheesy one liners, it's also hilarious as well, I found myself laughing out loud several times lol. I'll get GTA 3 and San Andreas next time I have iTunes money
