Or even also a a dating couple where the girl says "no" and the guy still does it anyway. Rape basically means if you said "no" from the start. Yes all of Bobby's acts were wrong regardless, I'm happy he died, I'm just saying Ali was portrayed as an impulsive girl with problems of her own nonetheless, and she knew Bobby was a *beep* so if she had half a brain cell she'd know not to even get involved with him from the get-go. She should've been smarter is my point.

It's been quite a while since I read the book, so I don't remember how much (if at all) of Bobby's alleged rapist tendencies enter into the motivation for murder. The primary motivation seems to have been Lisa's and Marty's resentment of Bobby's manipulation and bullying of Marty. Lisa could have easily made a bigger deal out of Ali's "rape" to generate sympathy for her cause among the other participants. In the film, certainly, the kids are all shown to have a weak grasp on reality and morality.

No if a woman is in pain and implying through crying or screaming that she wants you to stop and you don't that is rape. There was no way Ally KNEW that Bobby was gonna force her to watch gay porn, hit her and use excessive force...I think he was even choking her. Even if she laid down and wanted to have sex that does not mean she knew or deserve the treatment she got. Sex is suppose to be pleasurable for both parties. If a woman is crying and screaming out of pain and you don't stop that is rape. You try that *beep* in real life and see how fast your ass ends up in jail. I'd rather be a "male feminist" (whatever the *beep* that means) then an advocate of sexual abuse.

With your logic I guess Marty and the rest didn't murder Bobby since he willingly went to the beach with a bunch of people. He was suspicious of Donny and the whole situation, but went anyway. Using your logic he should have known they were gonna try to kill him it's his fault.

Good luck in prison? I never said I support rapists. I'm just aware that many women exaggerate their rape stories just because our court system will take their word regardless. And once again, you and the rest of these brainwashed folk are justifying Ali's testimony, while disregarding that if she wasn't such a slut, this wouldn't have happened. All I could say to her is cry me a river. Also I doubt you've watched many publicized trials where women are caught lying about rape. And I'm presuming you don't know what a white-knight is.

Everything you are saying is supporting rapists. You don't get to decide whether someone is or isn't worthy of saying no. It doesn't matter how many times someone has had sex or what they do in life. It doesn't matter if they are naked, dressed in a short skirt or like a nun. No means no. She did not give her consent if she said no. I don't care if they were in the middle of sex and she said stop. He must stop. If he doesn't then it is rape. It doesn't matter she said yes to him before. It doesn't matter if you think a girl is a slut. It doesn't matter that she's screwed everyone but you.

You don't get to decide whether someone is worthy of having control of their body and what someone does to it. Everyone has a right to say no.

The fact that you come back with name calling like a 3rd grader gives plenty of evidence of your lack of maturity. There is no excuse for rape.

How am I supporting rapists? I've fully admitted that Bobby is a scumbag whom deserved his death fully. I'm just saying, Ali was no saint either whom could've avoided it easily. it's contentious if any actual rape took place in the scene in bedroom, where Willis had gone to have sex with Kent anyway, and he shows her their disgusting amateur porn vid. She is repulsed by it, and simply changes her mind about hooking up wiht him. There was probably some kind of struggle ensued but seems some doubt if he actually forced intercourse on her on that occasion.

She claimed so, which fed the wave of anger rising against Kent.

Now, there seems doubt an outright rape occurred..maybe just a struggle and assault, which broke up before she was raped outright.

@jarspeck: Just to state that "rape" is a bit of a strong word when regarding a situation that a promiscuous troubled girl brought on herself. Why else do you think women are taught to learn self-respect and to reject certain dudes when being hit on? I found it peculiar how she was showing disgust towards Bobby by calling him an *beep* to which she was right, but then suddenly became attracted to him. It was clearly just a front she was putting up. And all these idiots misrepresenting my point by saying that I support rape is just hilarious, when all I'm saying is that some girls like her should have a little bit more "survival skills", for lack of a better word. It's not like if a girl says yes to have sex with you that you're somehow free to do whatever you want to once you're in the bedroom. It's not okay to physically hurt a girl and refuse to stop even when she asks you to. If you then keep hurting her and refuse to let her go you're commiting rape. It's really that simple.
