Just how many rules, legal and moral, do such evil men like portrayed here break?

In life we, ordinary humans in an ordinary everyday world, are told we are not allowed to do, say, THINK even etc many bad things. Don't steal, don't murder, don't you know (the r word) and assault people sexually, don't damage things, don't assault people, etc etc etc.

And this goes as much for stuff like physical harm as it does for moral hurting and even objectification of things (we aren't allowed to touch and look at certain things either). And these rules exist for everyone including not just men although men in certain extreme areas we fear the most for obvious reasons, not to mention, life and history has sadly proved it statistically to be so.

People often react angrily and with outrage or upset feelings if someone cheated on them or humiliated them in any way. Well, life and its rules and laws, sexual, sorry, SOCIAL (but ALSO sexual too!) contract exists and does for a reason.

Now take a look at our lead character (who even has his not so mentally stable WOMAN, girlfriend, with him who either assists or turns a blind eye on him and his deeds too) and main antagonist in this movie.

Who violently and physically assaults mostly women including sexually, hurts them physically, kills some of them and violates them in one particularly unfathomably gruesome ways that for many of us are down right unimaginable in this obscure 1970s Japanese cult extreme cinema classic.

It seems like he broke and violated ALL the social rules and LAWS even and can even be classified as an aggressive thing and not even a human being. And in his case, he took all dark sides to the ultimate apex extreme with HIS ultra terrible deeds. Which makes him way worse than a thief and much lower than a typical school bully. And much more than just a typical offender and even a criminal - in an ultimately bad way. Agree?

And what do you think about it? You and I often walk mentally on tip toes and worry about our consciences, folks like that guy - my God I am TOTALLY lost here!

Why did you watch it if the genre offends you?

reply

HEY, HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY - the GENRE does not "offend" me, personally, overall at all.

You totally missed the point mate, and I said NOTHING bad about the ACTUAL film which by the way I thought was great as well as effectively disturbing.

What I really intended to debate and discuss was - in the minds of most civilized people, besides obviously being wrong, criminal, a psychopath etc, a villain/antagonist of that type, how many rules, laws and social norms and mores he breaks and violates and what does that make him besides a criminal and a violator and whatnot, cheers.
