The Inspiration for this movie....

This movie is actually based on the life of Elliot Rodgers, but in real life instead of turning to the devil with hilarious consequences, he takes a much darker path.

Well what are the use of my brains if I'm tied up with a dumb cluck like you?

there is bit of dialogue in this that is either inspired from the twilight zone episode "printer's devil" or it's quite a coincidence, compare these two lines if you will, here's the bit of dialogue from the devil in twilight zone (paraphrasing): devil: - "what good is a soul anyway, it's sort of like an appendix these days if you know what i mean", fella: - "well then why do you want it?", and here's the line in this movie, devil: - "souls are overrated, it's sort of like an appendix", elliot: - "well then why do you want it so much?". while there is some questioning who hurley actually is in this movie, along with other roles such as elliot's cellmate, i think burgess meredith in the twilight zone pretty much plays a regular old devil tale, his contract is much, much shorter and i love his taunt of the fella, meredith (laughing): - "a grown up man, that believes in the devil" fella grabbing the paper in anger: - "give me that stupid thing" and he signs, check the episode if you want to know the rest... right after the break, that's "printer's devil", at any hour of the day, stayed tuned, only on the twilight zone 😀.

The inspiration was the original movie, which was much better.
