Superman, the man of steel, has been a staple of DC Comics since the golden age. This superhero has found himself the subject of numerous adaptions: live action, animated, and more... While some of these outings are very well remembered, or at the very least lauded: such as, the Fleischer Superman, Donner and Reeve Superman, 90s tas... There have been some that have fallen down the memory hole, such is the case with the Ruby Spears Superman. Yes there was a Saturday Morning Superman cartoon that aired in 1988! It was a blink and you'll miss it moment but it happened. 13 episodes, 26 segments, a strong comic book pedigree, and some wacky plot-lines were not enough for this series to gain cult status.
