Brad Pitt should have done Mark Rufallo's role

he would have been sooo much better than him. He wasn't very good. Pitt's more talented people.

Actually Brad Pitt really would have been perfect for this role. OP is right.

Brad Pitt is good at playing drifters and free spirits, like Tyler Durden in Fight Club or the gypsy drifter in Snatch. A guy who just does what he wants and doesn't give a sh*t about other people's feelings. Like Aldo Raine in Inglourious Basterds. That's the type of character he plays because that's who Brad Pitt is in real life. This libertarian superhero.

So Brad Pitt as the drifter, loner brother would have been perfect in this, and would have brought this film some much needed star power. As much as I like Mark Ruffalo, he's much better as a supporting actor in a character role.

Limit of the Willing Suspension of Disbelief: directly proportional to its awesomeness.

I was thinking about Will Smith while watching the movie. He would nailed the role perfectly.
