Hitting girls in the face

Would any guys here hit a girl in the face if they were mouthing off like Sarah Silverman's character was doing in this film?

Has anyone considered the possibility that carrot-top hired them to stop his girl friend from getting him into so many fights? Hence, the lead characters splitting some money up right there on his car, and the reason carrot-top never actually hits them? Kinda goes with how he talks to Sarah as they walk away together. Just saying. LOL

When I was younger and a bit of a trouble maker I had plenty of loud mouth obnoxious women going as far as possible out of their way to start sh#t with me... And you better believe I wanted to punch some of them square in their face (But I refrained). Which makes this scene so satisfying in my opinion. I doubt if there's any shortage of guys that haven't had some drunk, obnoxious, chick in their face, hurling insults and daring them to hit them (or someone else) and this scene hasn't played out as a fantasy in their head.

I hated her character more and more with every word she screeched.... As far as I'm concerned, her character was hiding behind the social dogma that "Men don't hit women" and thought it offered her impunity to act as obnoxiously as she want. The fact that their characters actually went against social norms and punched Sarah Silvermans character caused me to laugh out loud and I quickly found myself rooting for them through out the movie.

No, it's a woman and they are just words. What kind of question is that???

Her boyfriend was prepared to fight for her "honour" or maybe just to defend his car, so on his head be it.

Let me start by saying that, I'm opposed to starting anything violent, especially against women, children, or small animals.

It's an interesting philosophical debate when you think that, if there were 'fighting words' said, people wouldn't blink if fists went flying into the 'big mouth'.

But, in this era of equal rights, a male strikes a female...it's straight up mysogeny, period.

I Love the movies, especially for their ability to transport you into another world of things that would never happen. I mean, think about it, if you removed all plotlines for a year that described something stupid, how many movies would be left to see?

And if you watch movies like this as a how to instructional, perhaps your next movie should be about a person who takes a long walk on a short pier.

All that said, IMHO, the scene where Silverman gets it in the face makes this movie for me.
