judging by the trailer you'd think it was some light romance, fish out of water comedy.. but it's hardly a comedy at all. A little kid even gets killed in it. It's about the reality of inner city ghetto life. I did like it but it wasn't what I expected. It was even better..

The ghetto scenes (inside the projects) looked worse than Candyman and Precious combined. Welcome to Hell. The nighttime scenes were the chubby little boy was trying to run and hide from a beating were even worse.
shareI can't say I particularly liked it. It's a darker, but still very predictable, film than most and was a bit worthy - very much a message movies. It's a very sound message but didn't make for great entertainment. Or perhaps I just wanted a Reeves/Lane romcom and this certainly ain't that.
