Blade Runner Reference?

I feel like Marcus’s death is very similar to Tyrell’s death. Both Commodus and Roy Batty initially caress the older male figure before strangling them (and in Roy’s case also gouging their eyes out). And oh yeah both films are directed by Ridley Scott.
