Did this steal a scene from Mask of Zorro?

In Mask of Zorro, de la Vega has a knife and is about to walk up to Rafael and stab him until his daughter gets in the way

In Gladiator, Maximus has an arrow and is about to stab Commodus until Lucius gets in the way

Also on a side note both Rafael and Commodus have a scene where they are being greeted by a crowd in what is supposed to be a grand entrance but in reality the crowd doesn’t really respect them

That is so utterly generic it can hardly be considered copying. You must recall there are only so many ways to do something. An "assassination" when someone else gets in the way has happened so often in films the number is likely in the hundreds of films, not to mention books, comics, and so forth.
