Haley Joel Osment killed it

Seriously, this is the best performance by a child actor that I have ever seen. The kid had this grown man in tears at several points. If I die with unfinished business, I'll be on Cole's doorstep myself.

Yeah, he was great here. It's a shame his career really didn't take off since. He sure has the talent.

Just watched last night and totally agree. The facial expressions alone are incredible. Much more impressive than many adult actors can pull off. He absolutely pulls in the audience.

I would say my memory is not what it used to be. But I don't remember what my memory used to be.

Literally!

I really liked Culkin in the Good Son as well.

reply

I thought Culkin was really wooden in The Good Son. The Frodo dude did a much better job in that. But yes, as OP said, I think Osment was the best child actor of the modern era.

reply

I think he more than solidified his standing at that point in time. Far more than a wooden past timer. Elijah is a gifted actor though no doubt. Mr. Howard or Miss Temple would like to have a word with you, by the way.

Did he see it afterwards?
