This is a good movie! It is light, fun, well acted and completely enjoyable. I don't get all the negative stuff here.

i thought it was dire. A stupid story and not funny at all. I realise they wanted to put gere and Roberts together again, but surely they could have come up with something better than this?

I'm rewatching it, right now, after 15 years. And my teenage self never realized how selfish and unlikeable the star couple is. It's not light or romantic. I think it's depressing and stupid. And that ending, lol. I give the marriage, a week tops.

Kind of boring for its genre. The little Main Street USA is bland and the townsfolk are all out of central casting.
