First Resident Evil Game You Played?

Resident Evil Director's Cut, non Duel Shock version with the original soundtrack 1996. I played it on my brother's friends PS1 and it scared me badly. I thought the game was great for the time, because back then I was used to Genesis and the SNES games. So the PS1 was a major deal for me. I didn't own the game until Christmas 1997, and then a month later, I got Resident Evil 2. From then, I was hooked for life, and I vowed to follow the story no matter how long it lasts. This game still remains my top favorite game of all time, even 20 years later. I loved that mansion, and I promise that if and when I win the lottery, I will build that mansion here outside Chicago. Still the my biggest weakness with Resident Evil games are the giant spiders, and they were hideous in the PS1 era games. But you know being scared is what made the old Resident Evil games special.
