Staring with a wooden face competition between Freddie and Rachael.

Stuff the bet in the movie, did these two have a bet to see who could give the best impression of planks of wood?

Day-Lewis - Cotillard - Bardem - Swinton!

I watched it last night after not seeing it for a good five years. It's not great is it?

I actually thought Rachel was a good actress but Freddie was very wooden. Saw it again on C4 last night.

Freddie's always awful. He's nice to look at and that's about it. I could have strangled him after watching Brooklyn Rules. He's a guy from Brooklyn that sounds like he's from Boston.

Play some Pachinko, play some Parcheesi. 'Cause all the angst sh-t is just cheesy.

SO TRUE!!
both of their acting && their expressions throughout just irritated me.

i dont know why either... but R.L.Cooks head just bothers me.. the shape and her hair.. and her weird lame eyes. [shudders]

something about her face/head.

same thing with Melissa Joan Harts eyes in that movie where she killed her parents 'twisted desires'/'shattered desires' or something like that... that movie destroyed MJH for me.. her weird eye... wth?

.xoxo.

I think RLC has beautiful eyes! 😄

LOL I felt the same way... I thought Lanie and Taylor were actually okay in the movie. Even Usher. and wow at Lil kim.

My life isn't any better than yours.

Actually, I was wondering how much d*ck Prinze Jr had to tug to get any sort of acting job. And I don't buy the father angle...I mean, he's so bad that if his dad was Brando, he wouldn't get an acting job. Therefore, it must be sucky sucky.

I don't know if we watched the same movie, but I thoroughly enjoyed it back in the day and have watched it repeatedly since -thought the acting was pretty natural and although the concept is trite, it was altogether done pretty well. I loved both Rachel and Freddie (thought they worked well together and had a lot of chemistry). They certainly put a sincere smile on my face and had me rooting for them. Also, the ending was hilarious as well as romantic and Rachel had the most wonderful smile on the face (such sincere happiness)! If you want to see wooden, go watch Hayden's performance (or lack of) as Anakin in "Attack of the Clones." There's never been such an ideal example of just what "no chemistry" and wooden acting means until I saw that movie -I went in with such anticipation for a great love story (it was all nicely set up for one too with an interesting backstory surrounding both characters -too bad the actors couldn't step it up) and had never felt so cheated.
