In your opinion, what is the best Bond movie you've seen?

Mine is Live and Let Die.

It has an Awesome villian with a brilliant plan,a beautiful Bond girl, great action sequences, and a charming 007

TWINE and GE (I prefer the former just a tiny bit more than the latter), enough said.

Im between goldeneye and the world is not enough.

They have this perfect mix between formulatic and serious Bond flicks also Pierce had the best chemistry with the Bond girls of those films.

From Russia with Love or Dr. No.

That's out of all Bond films saving only The Living Daylights (which, for some reason, I still haven't seen) - including the 1960s Casino Royale and Never Say Never Again.

Tomorrow Never Dies is my favourite, but From Russia With Love is technically the best. Hence, TND is #1 and FRWL is #2 on my list.

What do you mean by "technically" the best? I'm curious why you'd like one, but think another was the best...?

reply

TND was my first 007 film and think it's a fantastic example of modern Bond without the 'it's personal' pretence. FRWL is as enjoyable in my opinion, hence why it's second, but it's a very well crafted film in a technical sense. Tightly scripted, shot and edited, wonderfully acted, beautifully scored - all the elements come together and are at their best - not sure how many Bond films after it matches or comes close to that.

Right. So, TND has the sentimental edge. I've got it now.

Thanks for the explanation.
