IF they reboot this ....they should

Firstly I liked the INSPECTOR GADGET movie the only real gripe I had with it was that THE CLAW had his face showing and that the gadgetmobile talked and by the looks it seems alot of people agree with me too by the looks of some threads on here , in due saying that if DISNEY or another studio decided to reboot it they should do the following:

• Have THE CLAW face not showing just his claw/hand
• Have it show how both gadget and claw came about to be, like for example the claw was previously a henchman before and he was sent to a lab to steal some robotics and John Brown ( gadget ) was a security guard at this particular lab and tried to stop the robbery from happening and shot at Claws hand and inturn john brown got severly injured hence becoming gadget ( after some operations after the robbery ) , and then show claw using some of the robotics on himself ( just the hand ) and he takes over his bosses gang. I know it sounds abit far fetched - I know this negates my first point but they can make it work
• Have Don adams voice in the movie somewhere as a nice reference to him

WHO THEY CAN CAST

John Brown/Inspector Gadget – Steve Carrell
THE CLAW – voice only – Dolph lundgren – he has a evil type voice or perhaps Sir Ian McKellen

That would be the 2nd time Steve Carrell plays a character Don Adams originally played.

I'm usually against reboots/remakes since studios do it a lot of the time for quick cash-grabs such as Point Break (2015), but I'd be in favor of one if it means actually sticking to the source material.

As for this movie's flaws:

• Penny - Wasn't quite blonde, more of a dirty blonde.

• Computer Book - Penny never had one as far as I remember. No idea if this would work nowadays with tablets, but I'll put that aside for now.

• Brain - He wasn't used as much. Going full-on CGI might have been a better idea instead of using an actual dog.

• Dr. Claw - I'm not even going to get into this one. The character was wrong from the beginning.

• The Gadgetmobile - What??? They used a 1964 Lincoln Continental! And it talked!!! When in the hell did it ever have this feature? It should've transformed from a van into a 1983 Toyota Celica Supra. That's it. Pretty sure somebody could've scrounged around for a 16-year-old car at the time.

Honestly, I'm puzzled as to how this even got by a test screening. The audience must've had absolutely no recollection of the original series.

So, yeah, this movie desperately needs to be redone. I'm surprised nobody has considered it in recent years.

Edit: Ah, I actually voted for a remake several years ago under another topic. Glad to see my opinion hasn't changed:
