'Charmed' crossover

Would a Felicity/Charmed crossover have worked? Granted 'Felicity' was set in New York City and 'Charmed' was set in San Francisco, but Felicity & Ben were from the SF area, the shows were on the same network, and one of Felicity's friends practiced witchcraft (though without magical powers that I recall).
