Cuba Gooding makes me vomit a little bit

Just watched it again and came to the same conclusion. A fine and noble idea well portrayed and with a commanding performance from Anthony Hopkins and some strong supporting roles, very well shot, especially the gorilla scenes but damaged by the trite dialogue (take me with you Ethan!)and the dependably nauseating presence of Cuba Gooding Junior, who, to my knowledge has single handedly and teary-eyedily made a boll*cks of every single film he has ever appeared in. Any takers?

Cuba couldn't act his way out of a snuff film.

Yes, Cuba Gooding was the sore point in this brilliant movie, he wasn't meant for this role. I can't help thinking Jim Caviezel would have been best for this role

I thought Cuba did a really good job.

While I was watching it I thought it was award worthy.

I dont know what you guys talking about but he is a very good actor

Not me. This movie made me a fan of his -- a stunning performance, along with Hopkins.

I suspect people don't like this movie because they don't 'get' it. It's too much reality (and I ain't talkin' 'bout living with apes, which is dubious). Many of these folks play "the game" every day, one way or another, and like it. They're controllers, takers, not liberators; and they can't handle the truth (imagine Jack Nicholson's voice reading that).
