films like this one?

I thought this was one of the most tense films I've ever seen, can anyone suggest others like this and is it worth me watching the other two films?

Now I think the poster started this thread years ago, but if your still reading i can update you, and don't worry im not going to say Fermats Room...although i just...anyway. check out 13 beloved/game of death (excellent thai film) where a selected contestant has to complete specific objectives for money, i.e seemingly most innocent at first yet they soon become more morally challenging and dangerous.

the Descent, the one where the girls go down into the cave and stuff happens.

If I can recommend a few that are not so much overly similar in plot but in premise and similar low-budget yet high-quality;

Eden Log (I recommend original French language dub is weaker)
Very cool and weird black and white sci fi of a guy waking up with Amnesia. amazing camera work and atmosphere. Some very very cool stuff in this. Super low-budget but very cool.

Unknown (Jim Caviezel stars)
Not the best but again, amnesia. The plot is that it is a bunch of guys in an area and a few are criminals and few are their hostages but no one knows who is who. They all wake up after a chemical knocked them all out causing them to forget. Good premise. Low budget also.

Pandorum
Amnesia waking up on a space-ship. Very cool movie. Some great twists and turns and really good acting. Great atmosphere. This is the only one with a big budget but has all the familiar elements in this genre and is intense.

Triangle
A bad movie until the premise kicks in but boy did it take me by surprise! if you watch this movie just wait until the 20-25 minute mark in the film and it becomes one heck of a weird "trapped in one area" mind-bending brain-tease with a group of people. Medium budget haha?

BONUS MOVIE:
Panic Room
Directed by the talented David Fincher. Some great acting and some AMAZING camera work. Cool concept where the family hides in a super complex panic room and the burglars need something inside it. Similar in some ways but really its own thing.

Triangle is fantastic. I've seen it at least 3 times and each time I pick up something new.

Oh another one kind of like Cube is "Beyond the Black Rainbow". That is another low-budget sci fi trapped in a weird area movie. It has a weird sort of 2001-Kubrick kind of visuals to it though that makes it a lot weirder and less-accessible than Cube but it is also a good movie. Some crazy visual imagery and very very weird.

There is a black and white horror/comedy/whodunit like the Cube where a door closes and another one rolls into place.
The film ends with a birdseye view of the rooms moving on.
The actors keep finding a different room behind the same door.
A mix of the Cube and Murder by Death and Cluedo.

I wouldn't be asking if I knew :) but I didn't phrase it as a question and I was hoping somebody might recall it from that description.

"Cube" was one of the chief inspirations for my film "Kultur Shock!" which takes the locked-room-mystery formula in a whole new direction. Making it took three years, but that was the easy part compared to the challenge of distribution. This is part of my grass roots campaign to raise awareness. If you're interested it can be rented for $3.99 at https://vimeo.com/ondemand/15988.

I know this is an old thread, but I saw Cube on TV the other night, came here and started reading some of the posts. If tension is what you're looking for, the film High Tension is really good. It's a French film, but it's dubbed in English. The twist is one of those things that divides viewers (either you love it or you hate it), but otherwise, it's one of the most intense horror movies I've ever seen. The Hills Have Eyes was pretty good at building tension, too.
