Why are people so bent on beyond the movie?

So ok, he wrongfully imprisoned people. Did he attempt to kill them? By asking for food and drinks for them? By not even firing a bullet at anyone, despite getting breached twice? By giving Maggie a gas mask and the rest blankets to block away any gas?

And the fact that it is a fictional movie?

Apparently they weren't really paying attention.

As I said in another thread, the whole situation WAS NOT a premeditated move by Roman. Infact the whole thing pretty much happens by accident. Roman went to confront Nebaum to ask what his involvement was. Nebaum got indignant and ordered security to get Roman out of the building, a struggle ensues between Roman and the security guard, the gun goes off and Roman wrestles the gun out of the guard's hand and it's on.

Roman didn't ever plan on creating such a situation so this whole notion of Danny being a terrorist is really absurd. I wish people would pay attention when watching movies.

I’m not so sure, I think Danny was ready to take hostages from the start, preferably just Nabaum. Sure, he asked nicely to begin with but obviously that wasn’t going to be enough.

When he told his wife to ‘go wait in the car’ he knew he was going to have to use force.

I like how so many people think a movie has to be 100% true to reality and they don't know what it means to suspend your disbelief.

Doesn't change the fact that he's an unsympathetic criminal.
