Have you seen this movie recently? I know that when you see it in theaters when you're younger you can suspend your disbelief and take it seriously. But watch it again on TBS. It's horrible. So many summersaults, doves, motorcycles, Tom Cruise flashing Blue Steel, explosions... I mean wow. It's the most self-gratifying movie production ever. And I like John Woo. The Killer and Hard-Boiled are great movies. But this is just unbelievable.

No, this film had a lot of problems but it is hardly the worst movie ever made. Disaster Movie, Home Alone 4, Superbabies:Baby Geniuses 2 and Psycho(1998) are much worse than this film.

John Woo's worst movie had to be Windtalkers. I LOVE his action but that movie was just kinda boring, like somebody took We Were Soldiers+The Last Samurai+Face/Off...

I've seen worse, but it really is horrible. Woo went for stylish, and ended up with cheesy. MI:2 is an empty, self-indulgent mess that doesn't even succeed as a mindless action movie. It's like they didn't even try. Hunt meets this woman for all of five minutes, then has an absurd car chase with her the next day that ends with him promptly sleeping with her. Of course, after that he's in love with her and desperately jealous about what she has to do for IMF. The dialogue is horrible and over-the-top in the worst way, the stunts are so ridiculous and awkward that they're almost funny, and it still managed to be inexplicably boring.

I enjoyed M:I 2 and still waiting to see the full 3-1/2 hours of this.
