Why didn't they just use the H6 mask?

In this we had the alien mask thats all smooth, the spiky haired goofy mask where his eyes are showing, the CGI mask, this movie was a fucking mess when it came to Michael's mask.

But in the beginning of the film with Marion they use the H6 mask, and it looks fucking beautiful, yet its not seen again after Marion dies. I don't get it, it was perfect and anyone with eyes could see that mask was far superior than the other shitty two thats used for the remainder of the movie.

Was it that hard to reshoot some scenes using the H6 mask? like the shots of Michael trying to get in the door, it was very brief moments but we see him in that shitty alien mask, could we not get him in the H6 mask and redo the few seconds of him at the door? or him staring at Molly outside while shes in the classroom, just put the H6 mask on Durand and have him stand there.

If they couldn't re shoot every scene they could've at least reshot all the scene where the shitty alien mask was shown, i can almost stomach the spiky haired mask, it looks decent in certain shots in the dark, but that alien mask makes me wanna puke when i see it.

Maybe they were trying to differentiate themselves from previous films. This didn't follow the Halloween 6 continuity.

I'm guessing.
