I watch it usually on the Winter Solstice, the night the orgy occurs (one assumes).

Yes. I watched it today. I tend to watch it maybe every third Christmas.

No, but I can see it. If Die Hard can be considered a Christmas movie, why not? Takes place around Christmas, right?

It's wall to wall Christmas decor with none of the phony cheer. I call it a thinking man's "It's a Wonderful Life".

I think winter solstice makes sense. Very nice. It is the darkest day of the year. Keeping one's eyes shut from reality and only seeing darkness.
