They had a $46 million budget and made this POS?

What a big fail. It looks like it was made for about $4.6 million and the screenplay was written by a Dawson's creek writer. They must have lost a ton of money on this. Serves them right. Maybe if they had stuck to the real story about Marty Stouffer going alone to film animals, it would have have been better. Instead they wanted to make JTT the star and this film is basically slapstick comedy.

It certainly could’ve been better made, with maybe not as much cheese and corniness, with the scenes with JTT’s falcon and moose.

Then again, I think it works really well as a kids movie. When I was in grade school, this movie was so badass. I watched it again after I was grown, and yeah I recognized a lot of faults.

I guess the budget was for the animals and it’s too bad it didn’t do well, but it was a badass kids movie.
