For me, its just a dumb comedy film. I mean its not meant to be Werner Herzog but it wasn't trying to be. It just tried to make the audience laugh and in a lot of areas, it did. Which can't be said for modern Adam Sandler films but anyway, its still one of my favourite Adam Sandler movies (I cant decide between this or Happy Gilmore).

I hear you man. To me, this was the last Adam Sandler comedy I enjoyed. I can still watch it, just did over the weekend as a matter of fact, and crack up at almost all of the jokes and situations.

this was huge when i was a kid, and it still regularly airs on tv today i check it out whenever it airs, and considering its a sports movie which often can become unhookable as a movie theme entertainment it must really be good. some critics gives it a fairly high rating too. i tell you something funny, i have only seen jerry reed in redneck movies, he even returned for smokey and the bandit 3 with gleasons great line "give me the good ol' days when a pair of boobs were two dumb guys", i think that was made as the original star could still make face expressions.

make greasy mush out of me,
then you dished me out in the sink but i got stuck in the draining.
