Who killed Dewey?

Yes, Dewey lived but he was supposed to die in this movie

Anyway, who "killed" him in the video projection room? Was that Mrs Loomis, or Mickey? Both killers were there! But I can't help and think Mrs Loomis is the one who stabbed Dewey. The killer is shorter, and the killer is shorter than Dewey. Dewey is 5'10. The actor for Mrs Loomis was 5'7-5'8....and Ghostface looked that height. Mickey is 6'1.

BUT if that's what happened why didn't Mrs Loomis admit to "killing" Dewey to Sidney then? Surely it must have been Mickey, right? But the height inconsistency bothers me there.

I don't know who the hell stabbed Dewey in this scene. I cannot help but think it was Mrs Loomis

reply

I thought Mickey for the longest, but I've been leaning toward Mrs. Loomis on more recent viewings

reply

I've always, always, thought that it was Mrs Loomis. From my very first viewing. Out of the two killers I feel that she is the one with the most motive to try to off Dewey, and Gale.

reply

What bothered me about that is, if that is indeed Mrs. Loomis, why leave Gale alive in that room? It's one thing if it's Mickey since he has to go after Sidney. Mrs. Loomis should've had some time on her hands

But that alone doesn't seem to be cutting it for me anymore. I mean, Dewey was ripe for the picking and Ghostface didn't even look at him. It was ALL about Gale really; that screams 'Mrs. Loomis' too loud for me to overlook anymore

I am thinking that one was Mrs. Loomis after those 2, while Mickey was after Sidney, in the police car.

reply

this makes sense

reply

It was Mrs. Loomis. Mickey was going after Sidney in the police car at the same time.

The height of Ghostface is too inconsistent to have any importance. It was a stunt double any way.

reply

False! There were two killers there. Mickey already came back, and Sidney was wandering around.

There was a killer who was videotaping both Gale and Dewey in the room, and then another killer who jumped out to attack them. There is no way that was done by the same killer.

reply

No, neither Sidney or Mickey were already back when Dewey got stabbed. Sidney only arrived at the theatre after Gale had run into Mrs. Loomis outside. And Mickey almost certainly arrived after Sidney, since he didn't even immediately chase after her. It was Mrs. Loomis who was already at the theatre.

There was a killer who was videotaping both Gale and Dewey in the room, and then another killer who jumped out to attack them. There is no way that was done by the same killer.

That scene was not realistic either way, because Gale and Dewey should have noticed Ghostface approaching in such a small space. But Mickey was with Sidney, so there couldn't have been two killers there. So what must have happened is that Ghostface turned on the video and then left the room, went to the back and came in through the door (the same one Gale eventually left through.)

reply

Actually I looked at this scene again. When Dewey was stabbed Sidney didn't even leave yet. It wasn't until the scene after where it shows Sidney leaving with the cops. Mickey could have easily been there in the video projection, along with Mrs Loomis, and while he left to go after Sidney (Mrs Loomis probably directed him) she went after Gale.

Mickey already has super speed as you can see he easily sneaks out of the party, kills Cici in her house, and gets back into the party with no one noticing.

I stand by with what I said. Both killers were there.

Just because it was shown after that scene, doesn't mean it happened exactly after that. It could've been happening at the same time. But even if it did, Mickey had no guarantee he would be at Sidney's place in time.

Mickey could have easily been there in the video projection, along with Mrs Loomis, and while he left to go after Sidney (Mrs Loomis probably directed him) she went after Gale.

That sounds too contrived. It's more plausible and simple if it's one killer who snuck up on Gale entering through the back door. That way, no killer has to take the risk coming down from the projection room.

Mickey could have easily been there in the video projection, along with Mrs Loomis, and while he left to go after Sidney (Mrs Loomis probably directed him) she went after Gale.

I don't see Mickey wasting his time just to keep Mrs. Loomis company in the projection room without doing any of the chase himself, while he also had to keep an eye on Sidney. He probably had no idea when or to where she was going to leave. And like I said, there was no guarantee he was going to be at Sidney's place in time.

Mickey already has super speed as you can see he easily sneaks out of the party, kills Cici in her house, and gets back into the party with no one noticing.

That has nothing to do with super speed, because we didn't see Mickey at the party until after the murder happened on screen. Who knows when he arrived at the the party.

I stand by with what I said. Both killers were there.

Well, I think you're wrong. There's no evidence that suggests there was a second killer and it's pretty much impossible as Sidney had to be chased at about the same time. There's certainly no reason to call my claim "False!"

It isn't "wasting time" for Mickey. His whole thing was filming the murders and he was there to film Dewey and Gale before Mrs. Loomis killed them.

It IS wasting time if he also had to go after Sidney and Mrs. Loomis could just as well have filmed it, like she did with Randy and probably Cici. Again, Mickey is not going to waste his time keeping Mrs. Loomis company in the projection room and film Dewey and Gale for about two seconds when he didn't even know where Sidney was going to be. Only one killer was definitely there.

As do I. In fact, I thought it was the general consensus

I'll take a potato chip...and EAT IT!!

reply

No, it definitely isn't. It makes no sense if you actually THINK about it.

reply

Definitely Mrs. Loomis imo. She had more of a motive to go after Gale, especially seeing as how she, not Randy, was the intended target earlier that day (i.e. Mrs. Loomis was hiding in Gale's van and calling Gale's cell phone.)

Yes, Dewey lived but he was supposed to die in this movie
He was supposed to die in the first one too, but test audiences reactions to the character were so positive that they decided to include a scene at the end revealing he was still alive from the stab-wound.

It was Mickey. I am surprised no one else has noticed this... Mickey is a lefty and Mrs Loomis a righty. Mickey does every killing except Randy. Notice the knife in the left hand in every kill scene except Randy. This scene had both killers there and we see both at different times knife in right hand at one point when it was Mrs Loomis and in left when it was Mickey stabbing Dewey.

reply

How about Mrs. Loomis purposely stabbing Dewey with her left hand so everything could be traced back to Mickey, hmmm?
