I believe that these "comfort" girls where just as likely to end up in that same shallow grave. To date I have never seen anything that indicates that choice of "entertainer" was the right choice. If you have do tell by all means!
As for me (male ... 50 years old ... not starving in a POW camp)... I found myself thinking how revolting it would be to "entertain" those men. Seriously could you let a man ... who you saw light a woman on fire ... touch you in any way???
I would like to add that this rhetorical/ethical question is explored in great depth by an excellent German film called Anonyma. It is well worth the time and approaches the war from a very unique perspective.
