Is this film Colour blind?

I think this film is more about circumstance, attraction and blind lust, and not so blind love. I mean how could anyone resist Nastassja Kinski. I like the mix of Black White and Oriental.

But the thing is, is it about race, maybe in the US, but in England? I don’t know.
