Have no where else to ask, so....

I'm searching after a movie, I think it was made in the late 80's or early 90's. It's set to the 50's or 60's. It's about a young girl, she live with her mother/grandmother (I think)or older sister. The young girl's raped, or almoust raped, by a older man, but someone find them, and beat up the man. I belive that the rape happend inside a house, maybe in the livingroom.

It's been years since I saw the movie, and I was a young teen when I saw it in the 90's, but this is all I remember.

Yes :) Thank you, I thought it was older than 1996, but it's the right movie.
