Why would Pollux suspect the guy looking like his brother wasn't his brother?

I mean yeah when Castor (really Archer) first arrived at the prison he was acting a little odd and didn't smash Dubov's face in but honestly what real reason did Pollux have to suspect that this guy was anyone but his own brother? he had no reason to even believe face swapping surgery was even a thing.

Also what ended up convincing him the guy was his brother? Was it the comment about his medication? Or the fact that he voluntarily brought up that he didn't know why Dubov jumped him (which played into his story about his memory being unclear due to the concussion and the coma)?

Castor didn't suspect a thing. He just thought his brother was acting weird as a result of the coma. It wasn't until later when Archer/Castor told him the truth that he learned what happened. Castor probably convinced him by telling him things that only they would have known.

Ok I see just right before Pollux mentioned the LA convention center he seemed to be a little skeptical as to whether that was castor or not.

Also I’m sure the real castor disguised as archer visited Pollux right before Archer and told him what was going on

Castor spoke to Pollux after Archer did. Pollux got that sad puppy look on his face when Archer (as Troy) called him pathetic because he was hurt and didn't know why he would say such a thing.

Right I’m saying after the fight with when Archer (as Castor) and Pollux were talking was Pollux initially unsure as to whether that guy was his brother? I realize after Archer told him “you’re so fucking pathetic” Pollux pretty much knew something was up but I’m talking about before that (and yes it’s very obvious that castor as archer visited Pollux also)
