I wondered about the killing of the bear because I thought the SPCA would not allow this to happen, but I guess it was a CGI or something.....

Can't remember too clearly, because it's been a while, but I'm fairly positive they don't just kill a real bear onscreen.

I'm certain the bear did not actually die. However, I couldn't help but wonder myself how they filmed that so well. I mean, that bear was a good actor lol.

Very talented actor, but the rumor is that he was very difficult to work with. Completely unbearable.

Bart the bear passed away of natural causes about a year ago.

I don't know how "natural" a death can be when someone has a 5g per day coke habit. He was also a degenerate gambler.

Sadly, yes. I ran with Bart for many years. I tried to get him to slow it down and take better care of himself. He tried to teach me to catch salmon in my jaws. Neither of us were very successful.
