The movie got better as it went on but...

I got the feeling that Javier happened to find Yolanda attractive and wanted something more (a man being led by his /:;()). He still couldn't believe she wanted nothing to do with him and she had to spell it out for him. How dense can he be? Then all of the sudden he realizes he needs to see his daughters show? Kinda shallow I'd say. JMO.

I picked up on that as well.
Still, I'd much rather see Javier Bardem in this kind of role than the psychopath roles he always gets.

As Anton Chigur in "No Country for Old Men," he was certainly a psychopath. But I can't recall any other roles where he plays a psycho. Enlighten me, please

He can't respond to you as that post is from the old IMDB forum...

Bardem played a psycho in Skyfall, so at least two big roles there... But yeah, it's not always the role he plays...
