Quite common in other boards, I thought it would be interesting to see what everyones favourite quote/part is.

Hey Guys I am an American and they changed some stuff in the movie here... can someone explain to me the bit about the microwave? Everyone seems to think it's really funny and I am mad I didn't see it. Thanks.

as for lines, I don't know the exact quote but I liked the one when Darryl asked the old man how long he lived there and he was like "Three years."
My boyfriend wasn't even watching the movie with me and I could here him laughing from the next room.

There are so many favourite lines and it's hard to chose one. But "we're goin' to Bonnie Doon" sticks in my mind as my husband and I were driving through Victoria recently and before you know it, we were in Bonnie Doon! There is not much there, but it was a good moment just the same.

If you're still wondering...

That is sooo difficult to explain, I'm not surprised you haven't had a reply. After a long conversation with my wife, we concluded that there was several things going on that made it funny. It parodies how we prioritise our friends and how we sometimes relate them to inanimate objects when their name is 'being used' by someone we feel is closer to us. There is the enigma of why Jenny and microwave are related at all, the ambush of such a tangential connection, and of course the speed and the comic timing of the deliver. I'm sure there is more, but that's enough to demonstrate that it's not any one thing. In summing up, it's the priority, it's the relationship, it's the delivery, it's the vibe... yeah that's it. It's the vibe.

I freaking love this movie!

I love when Darryl says "It's Darryl now" to Con and when Con says "It's the culture Darryl, the place is full of culture" and " they had this one channel, kickboxing twenty four hours A DAY" haha! Oh there are sooo many great lines in this movie.

"It's not a house. It's a home."

"In the plain it's so dry, your hair actually dehydrates."

"Bad luck...ya d*ckhead!"

"Tell him to get stuffed!"

"I just love mugs."

"Power lines remind him of man's ability to generate electricity. He's always saying great things like that. That's why we love him so much. Yup. Dad's a real thinker."

"It's law, it's justice, it's fairness, it's the vibe...yeah, it's just the vibe. I rest my case."

"YOU RIPPER! Thanks, lads."

My husband and I just finished watching this gem for the first time. It was on IFC and we were sucked in immediately. Some of our favorites were:

The mom says something like "I've got a story to tell"
Dale replies, completely sincerely "oh good!"

Dennis realizes he should be helping Hammill, and scribbles "glass of water?" That combined w/ the exaggerated pouring motion was just hysterical.

Darryl:(angrily)"I told you after Wayne no guns in the house now where did you get it"

Steve: Trading Post

Darryl(no longer angry) How much?

Just the change from caring about the gun to caring about the deal he got for it. CLASSIC
