She was very good (very experienced?) at repelling the advances of a perv like this guy.

There was a certain point, after the Dad had sung, that he tried to take her hand. And if she had allowed it, something unpleasant probably would have happened. But she didn't. She had just the right instincts to handle this situation. It had probably happened in her own family.

While nothing sexual happens with her his inappropriateness tells us he was more than willing if the situation allowed for it.

Made no difference to him if it was his son's wife. He did not give a damn about his son anyway.

I was hoping the movie ending would be Billy killing his parents. The world would be better without the 2 of them. Great casting by the way with Huston and Gazzara.
