All the terrorists are dead, no one knows that he is the traitor, so why would he give himself away like that in the end? It makes no sense.

sharePlus, he blew his chance to just kill Marshall in the doorway when they struggled at first. I mean, he had his gun to the President's head.
However, then he had to piss off the President, with that "I'm getting off this plane" line.
Of course, Marshall snapped, surely thinking, "This plane?...IT'S MY PLANE!!!"

He was just a plot device to get the terrorists on board in control, after his betrayal at the beginning there is never any interaction between him and the terrorists, the writer should have had Oldman betray and execute him first but backed themselves into a corner by keeeping him alive
shareIn the original script, he was revealed to be a long-term sleeper agent reactivated for this mission. For some reason it didn't make it into the final cut. Would have made more sense than a traitor on the presidential detail.
