Joey suddenly being on good terms with her father in S6

Did i miss something? in the Christmas episode in S6 she goes home for Christmas and out of the blue her dads just there and they have a good relationship and he's not in prison anymore.

Then after her dad ruins her relationship with Eddie and is incredibly rude to him, practically makes him want to leave and break up with her, Joey doesn't even get mad at her father and never has a scene with him after the dinner.

I just found her father insufferable in that episode, suddenly he's acting like some perfect father and looks down on a guy without an education and big job, and he was a fucking criminal, breaking the law and constantly left Joey without a father, he has no right to judge.

And Joey seemed head over heels for Eddie, the whole season built them up together, and her father snuffs it out in a single episode and Joey just goes "Ah well, oh theres Dawson!".

Yeah. He fucked her, and rocked her world in ways that Dawson and that other douche never had. As creepy as this all was, Joey felt obliged to be friendly, in repayment for the service Pops had provided her

Joey found out her father had been paroled in Season 5. She went to see him and then the episode ended.

Then fast forward to Season 6 Christmas episode it appears they had their reconciliation off screen.
